Wilderness Medicine Training Center [WMTC]

21900.00฿

The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course is designed for people who operate, travel, or lead groups in remote and outdoor environments where professional medical help is delayed or unavailable.

This 3-day, 26-contact-hour course follows Wilderness Medicine Training Center (WMTC) international standards and focuses on practical, decision-based care rather than hospital-style treatment.

You will learn how to assess, stabilize, and manage patients with limited equipment, limited support, and extended evacuation timelines.

This is first aid for real environments — not classrooms.

  • Outdoor injuries rarely happen near hospitals

  • Evacuation may take hours or days

  • Wrong decisions early create worse outcomes later

This course teaches you what to do, what not to do, and when to move — using clear priorities and realistic constraints.

  • Perform systematic patient assessment in wilderness settings

  • Manage bleeding, fractures, wounds, and soft tissue injuries

  • Recognize and respond to environmental illnesses

  • Make evacuation and stay-or-go decisions

  • Provide care during prolonged patient contact

  • Adapt treatment using limited resources

Training emphasizes thinking, judgment, and practical action, not memorization.

  • Outdoor guides and adventure leaders

  • Trekkers, climbers, and expedition members

  • Camp staff and outdoor educators

  • Anyone traveling or working far from medical facilities

No medical background required.
